Today, the New England Patriots placed RB Laurence Maroney on Injured Reserve with an undisclosed shoulder injury, ending his season. Maroney is the second starting skill player to be placed on the IR by the Patriots this season, after QB Tom Brady.
Sammy Morris will now assume the starting RB duties for the remainder of the year.
